WSU seniors Hannah Hund and LaRissa Lawrie presented their success in student-led innovation and entrepreneurship at the OPEN 2017 conference on March 23-26, in Washington. They placed first in the curriculum poster competition, and their ideas focused on bringing students from all disciplines together to participate in entrepreneurship. Their ideas were the foundation of Shocker Startup, which they co-founded two years ago at WSU.

Physical Therapy and Engineering students modified toy cars through GoBabyGo to assist children with disabilities. Four children received modified cars this year, which were delivered Saturday, April 29.

April 25, 2017 - WSU freshman piano major Patrick Orr won the Grand Prize in the Kansas City Symphony Young Artist Competition. As the winner of the competition, Orr will accompany the Kansas City Symphony on May 24 and 25.

April 19, 2017 - With three degrees and a full-time job, Pamela O'Neal is a prime example of an adult learner. Pamela started her first college classes at 32. Now as office and communications manager for the Office of Adult Learning, Pamela is working toward her fourth degree.
