Sept. 29, 2020 -- Wichita State University is taking a step forward with community discussions about a University Village initiative, which seeks to create a community destination of dining, entertainment and shopping adjacent to campus.

Sept. 16, 2020 -- A first-of-its-kind WuShock sculpture was unveiled and dedicated Tuesday at the entry plaza of the Steve Clark YMCA and Student Wellness Center.

Aug. 24, 2020 — Building a stronger, more profound connection between the Wichita State main campus and its Innovation Campus, the university is proposing the creation of a privately funded elevated pedestrian bridge that will span more than 300 feet across the pond west of Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall, which is scheduled to break ground later this year.

August 4, 2020 - KSBDC helps entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses. They are a federally funded organization that is located on the Wichita State campus.

May 13, 2020 - Madi Laughlin, president of the Green Group, serves as the supervisor for the community garden. The community garden is a plot of land located northeast of Ahlberg Hall.

Feb. 3, 2020 -- Levente Sulyok, associate professor of painting and drawing in the School of Art, Design and Creative Industries, installed two temporary, dynamic sculptures on Wichita State’s Innovation Campus. 

Dec. 5, 2019 -- A class project brought color to the sky above Wichita — and helped one student land a job.

Aug. 28, 2019 -- Wichita State student Sarah Myose had the winning entry in a competition to paint a mural on the Clinton Hall stairs. Their inspiration came from their time teaching children to paint dandelions.

August 15, 2019 - Kristin Beal is Wichita State’s newly hired placemaking coordinator, and almost all ideas, materials, formats and venues are in play when it comes to using art as a way to make the campus a place to enjoy and explore.

April 15, 2019 -- Brady Hatter sees the university campus as a giant garden. And every garden, he says, is a potential gallery in need of art. This Earth Day, Hatter will make his latest artistic contribution to the Wichita State canvas when his Earth Pod west of the Woodman Alumni Center is dedicated as part of the Earth Day Picnic at the Pod from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, April 22.

Feb. 18, 2019 -- Members of the Wichita State community came out to celebrate the new Love Locks Pod and take part in a new campus tradition.
