Aug. 26, 2024 - Casey Ratzlaff, a sport management major at Wichita State, will play in the men’s open division in the Paris Paralympics Games starting in late August. He is the top-ranked American and seeded No. 13 in the 64-man field.

June 14, 2024 Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) is adding a new capability to its portfolio aimed at growing the electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) market and attracting new business to the region and state.

May 23, 2024 - Wichita State's Marissa Jensen is halfway through her master’s degree in exercise science. She is a two-time American Athletic Conference All-Academic selection with a 4.0 grade-point average. This week, she is competing in the NCAA West Preliminaries in Fayetteville, Ark., for a second straight season.

May 20, 2024 - Wichita State is one of 10 teams which advanced to the spring semester competition in the NASA SUITS challenge. The team travels to Test Week in Houston at the Johnson Space Center this week. The list of finalists includes the University of California Berkeley, University of Colorado, University of Michigan, Georgia Tech, Purdue University and others.

May 10, 2024 - Senior Addison Barnard's list of academic honors almost matches her softball awards. She is one of college softball's top home run hitters and an Academic All-American as a health science major at WSU.

May 8, 2024 — Hundreds of people gathered Wednesday, May 8 to celebrate the start of Phase One construction on the new Wichita Biomedical Campus, a $300 million, 471,000-square-foot joint health sciences center in the heart of downtown Wichita.

March 18, 2024 — Wichita State University is not just reshaping downtown Wichita with the Wichita Biomedical Campus; it’s redefining health care education by harnessing the dynamic interplay between health care and the humanities.  WSU’s new Academic Center for Biomedical and Health Humanities, or HealthHum as it’s been monikered, aims to increase the visibility of a wide range of research and teaching in areas related to health care and humanities beyond the traditional health professions.

Jan. 22, 2024 — The FirePoint Innovations Center at Wichita State University announced it has been selected to deliver Defense Innovation OnRamp Hub programming for the National Security Innovation Network through the newly established Great Plains Mission Acceleration Center, an innovation and collaboration hub designed to connect small businesses, academia and the Department of Defense to support defense-focused technology development.
