Feb. 5, 2019 -- Bryant Lewis from Olathe Kansas received the Linwood Sexton Endowed Scholarship in 2019. The full-ride scholarship allowed him to pursue his dream of attending WSU.

Feb. 3, 2020 -- Levente Sulyok, associate professor of painting and drawing in the School of Art, Design and Creative Industries, installed two temporary, dynamic sculptures on Wichita State’s Innovation Campus. 

Dec. 18, 2019 -- Creating eco-friendly refrigeration and cooling technology is one of the top concerns when it comes to fighting climate change. Thanks to resources and knowledge at Wichita State University, a Wichita company is one step closer to finding a solution to that problem.

Dec. 16, 2019 -- Courtney Powers, music director at South Philadelphia High School, is in the running for a Grammy of her own for her work in music education. She is currently one of 25 quarterfinalists for the award.

Dec. 4, 2019 -- Nayeli Cano is passionate about helping people and wants to work with underrepresented communities to provide equal access to health care for those in need. 

Dec. 4, 2019 -- Javier Martinez and Jonathan Lozano hadn’t even intended to earn Wichita State’s inaugural Parkinson Scholarship in 2018, but they did. Both first-generation college students share their stories of adversity and triumph and offer words of encouragement for future first-gen college hopefuls.

Dec. 2, 2019 -- Gabrielle Owens surrounded herself with strong mentors she could look to when she doubted herself at Wichita State. She also took advantage of the opportunities offered through the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to successfully complete her master’s degree.

Nov. 25, 2019 -- The business interns at Airbus’ Innovation Campus office feel right at home in their work and understand the importance Airbus places on everything they do. They hail from diverse backgrounds and depend on each other to develop and sustain Airbus’ work.

Nov. 18, 2019 -- From Interim President Andy Tompkins: I wanted you to know about the potential for an exciting expansion of our partnership with NetApp. We’ve been talking for several months with NetApp’s leadership about the possibility of having their employees and facilities relocate to Innovation Campus, to work even more closely with WSU students, faculty and other researchers.

Nov. 14, 2019 -- Junior business management major Maribel Sanchez is taking full advantage of the opportunities provided by Wichita State. She is a first-generation student, Gore Scholar, studied abroad in the Netherlands this past summer and was invited to speak at a national conference.

Nov. 7, 2019 -  Levi Lowe, a senior majoring in applied computing and psychology is a first generation student who works 40 hours a week. Lowe works to pay for school on his own but was awarded a scholarship to help make ends meet.

Nov. 5, 2019 – The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic at Wichita State is hosting the first Pediatric Feeding group to help picky eaters and problem feeders.

Oct. 29, 2019 - It’s the living room of the engineering building in the Partnership 2 building on the Innovation Campus: GEEKS, a full-service tutoring lab for engineering students. The facility is a free resource that yields a significant amount of success for engineering students.

Oct. 17, 2019 - Senior industrial engineering student Sydney Jaeger is making the most of her college experience. It’s not always easy, but she finds a way to balance time as an engineering intern, student, member of WSU Cheer and a campus leader.

Sept, 25, 2019 - The U.S military needs a source of spare parts to keeps its aging aircraft flying. Wichita State University is rapidly establishing a database and acting as an essential connector for those requests. The National Institute for Aviation Research’s unique capabilities make it qualified to help with the teardown, digitizing and cataloguing of parts. That process saves the military time and money, which keeps its aircraft and other vehicles prepared.
