Dec. 18, 2019 -- Creating eco-friendly refrigeration and cooling technology is one of the top concerns when it comes to fighting climate change. Thanks to resources and knowledge at Wichita State University, a Wichita company is one step closer to finding a solution to that problem.

Dec. 17, 2019 -- Thanks to Andrew Swindle, WSU's hydrogeology professor, the university now has a hydrogeology field site for students and researchers. This site is the only one of its size in Kansas and the surrounding states.

Dec. 13, 2019 -- Katlyn, a student at USD 259’s Levy Special Education Center, has cerebral palsy and is nonverbal. Three Wichita State Engineering students have made communication a lot easier for her as a class project this semester.

Dec. 11, 2019 -- Noah and Shauna Holloway are education majors in the Teacher Apprentice Program at Wichita State. They are parents of two who took classes while teaching full-time. They earned their degrees with help from family and by working with professors when life intervened.

Dec. 5, 2019 -- The National Science Foundation (NSF) has released updated rankings for university research and development (R&D) expenditures, and Wichita State has held its position as the top university in the country for industry-funded aeronautical R&D with a total of $39 million in fiscal year 2018.

Dec. 4, 2019 -- Javier Martinez and Jonathan Lozano hadn’t even intended to earn Wichita State’s inaugural Parkinson Scholarship in 2018, but they did. Both first-generation college students share their stories of adversity and triumph and offer words of encouragement for future first-gen college hopefuls.

Dec. 4, 2019 -- Natalie Dutton, a senior sport management student and member of the Shocker bowling team, got the chance of a lifetime this summer as an intern with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Nov. 25, 2019 -- The business interns at Airbus’ Innovation Campus office feel right at home in their work and understand the importance Airbus places on everything they do. They hail from diverse backgrounds and depend on each other to develop and sustain Airbus’ work.

Nov. 20, 2019 -- Martin Ratcliffe, adjunct professor in the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College, teaches students that space and the people who study it aren’t all that far away.

Nov. 18, 2019 -- From Interim President Andy Tompkins: I wanted you to know about the potential for an exciting expansion of our partnership with NetApp. We’ve been talking for several months with NetApp’s leadership about the possibility of having their employees and facilities relocate to Innovation Campus, to work even more closely with WSU students, faculty and other researchers.

Nov. 11, 2019 -- Richard Martin was only 18 years old when he was drafted into the Army Air Corps. Now he’s 94 years old and the last living member of his squadron. On Wednesday, Nov. 6, the students of WSU 102 “Innovations of WWII” met him in the Ablah Library C-Space.

Nov. 4, 2019 -- Austin Clift prepared himself as much as possible to teach high school journalism, but nothing could ready him for his first day teaching solo at Wichita East High School. As a part of his preparation, he shadowed his predecessor through Wichita State’s Transition to Teaching program.

Nov. 1, 2019 - President-elect Jay Golden’s introduction speech indicates he learned much about Wichita State’s history and its mission. He spoke of reducing cost for students, of applied learning, the importance of the humanities and critical thinking and ties with business.

Oct. 29, 2019 - It’s the living room of the engineering building in the Partnership 2 building on the Innovation Campus: GEEKS, a full-service tutoring lab for engineering students. The facility is a free resource that yields a significant amount of success for engineering students.
