Nov. 21, 2019 -- As nationwide demand for biomedical engineers continues to grow, Wichita State University is moving forward with a plan to create a doctoral program that would help fill that need.

Nov. 18, 2019 -- From Interim President Andy Tompkins: I wanted you to know about the potential for an exciting expansion of our partnership with NetApp. We’ve been talking for several months with NetApp’s leadership about the possibility of having their employees and facilities relocate to Innovation Campus, to work even more closely with WSU students, faculty and other researchers.

Nov. 14, 2019 -- Junior business management major Maribel Sanchez is taking full advantage of the opportunities provided by Wichita State. She is a first-generation student, Gore Scholar, studied abroad in the Netherlands this past summer and was invited to speak at a national conference.

Nov. 11, 2019 -- Richard Martin was only 18 years old when he was drafted into the Army Air Corps. Now he’s 94 years old and the last living member of his squadron. On Wednesday, Nov. 6, the students of WSU 102 “Innovations of WWII” met him in the Ablah Library C-Space.

Nov. 5, 2019 – The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic at Wichita State is hosting the first Pediatric Feeding group to help picky eaters and problem feeders.

Nov. 4, 2019 -- Austin Clift prepared himself as much as possible to teach high school journalism, but nothing could ready him for his first day teaching solo at Wichita East High School. As a part of his preparation, he shadowed his predecessor through Wichita State’s Transition to Teaching program.

Nov. 1, 2019 -- Verdict: Wichita’s charming original espresso café is conveniently close to campus but far enough away to be fresh, and sports some quality drinks at reasonable prices.

Oct. 28, 2019 - Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with business students on Friday to talk about leadership, integrity and service. He also met with Wichita State's men's basketball team at Charles Koch Arena.

Oct. 18, 2019 - Achita Muthitacharoen, professor of management information systems, recently won the 2019 Faculty Risk Taker award for her willingness to try new, innovative ideas. She holds a competition in her dynamic programming course that allows students to experience a real-world assignment.

Oct. 1, 2019 - Jennifer Raymo, a Wichita State student earning her graduate degree in social work, recently became the Wichita Chapter director of The Healing Chair. The non-profit is a Kansas City based organization aimed at helping breast cancer and mastectomy survivors find comfort, hope and healing.

Sept. 20, 2019 -- The Wichita State University Library Special Collection and University Archives has received a large gift of scientific documents and artifacts from accomplished meteorologist Mike Smith.

Sept. 17, 2019 – Wichita State University and Kansas State University have combined resources and started the planning phase of a program that will give students the opportunity to earn both a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Health and Human Sciences at KSU, and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN) from the College of Health Professions (CHP) at WSU.

Sept. 12, 2019 -- The FirePoint Innovations Center at Wichita State University is hosting its first-ever FirePoint C3 Challenge, inviting university students from around the U.S. to submit their best designs for the Army's future unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) intended for next-generation combat and defense.

Sept. 10, 2019 -- Shocker Nation is full of amazing people. One of those people is WSU Police Officer Efrain Rueda, who has received a University Police ribbon for two outstanding actions.
