Aug. 29, 2019 -- Aliyah Funschelle is a junior studying sport management at Wichita State University. She is the campus representative for the American Athletic Conference and provides stories about WSU student-athletes to the network.

Aug. 26, 2019 - Pardhasai Chadalavada, a graduate student seeking a doctorate degree in aerospace engineering, and Atri Dutta, an assistant aerospace engineering professor, recently received a grant from NASA’s Earth and Space Science and Technology program.

Aug. 20, 2019 -- The first hotel on the Wichita State campus is beginning construction. A 106-room Hyatt Place hotel will break ground next week on Wichita State’s Innovation Campus, within walking distance of the new Fuzzy’s Tacos, the Shocker Store and Starbucks.

Aug. 16, 2019 - Kylie Cameron and Kevin Benavides worked summer internships at KMUW (89.1 FM). They reported and wrote stories for radio and the web on the Sedgwick County Fair, elections, Juneteenth and the anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. While they don’t perform on-air duties, they are expected to fill all of the other reporting tasks.

Aug. 12, 2019 -- Wichita State University has set a new record for research and development awards, with a total of $136 million in fiscal year 2019, which ended June 30, topping last year’s record-breaking total of $104 million.

Aug. 7, 2019 -- The Wichita State University campus will soon be home to a larger-than-life sculpture of its beloved WuShock mascot, thanks to Steve Clark – a longtime Greater Wichita YMCA board member, volunteer and donor – for whom the area’s tenth YMCA branch location will be named.

July 24, 2019 -- It’s easy to take the free t-shirts, halftime performances and musical chairs on the Charles Koch Arena basketball court for granted. But, during every Shocker Athletics game, a team of student marketing and game operations interns follows a carefully choreographed plan to make sure fans have a good time in between each play.

May 31, 2019 -- Coleen Pugh, a professor of Polymer Science at the University of Akron (Ohio), has been named the new dean of the Wichita State University Graduate School and associate vice president for Research and Technology Transfer, effective July 28.

April 16, 2019 -- Ryan Kendall, a senior from Pelham, Alabama, is a computer science major who took the long route to Wichita State’s Selected Team. He didn’t make the team as a freshman and spent the past two seasons on the Developmental Team. Wichita State coach Gordon Vadakin estimates around 10 percent of the bowlers who don’t make the team in their early years continue to try out for a spot on the Selected Team.

April 2, 2019 -- A plan to build a new Student-Athlete Success Center and renovate parts of Charles Koch Arena is moving forward.

March 18, 2019 -- In newly released national rankings of universities offering a Ph.D. in engineering, the College of Engineering at Wichita State University is ranked in the top 100 engineering graduate programs, one of only two institutions from the state of Kansas to make the list.

Dec. 6, 2018 -- Trudy Martin is a fifth-year senior at WSU studying electronic media and is an intern at KMUW.

Nov. 20, 2018 -- Student-athlete Tabitha Brown, a member of Wichita State's volleyball team, knows how to strike a balance between academics and athletics.

Oct. 19, 2018 -- WSU students can get free tickets to all home men's and women's basketball games.
