Dec. 3, 2019 -- Madison Davis involved herself in multiple clubs and organizations while attending Wichita State. She took advantage of the different hands-on learning experiences and internships offered, which helped her grasp the concepts being taught. In January, she plans on attending graduate school and work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

Dec. 2, 2019 -- Gabrielle Owens surrounded herself with strong mentors she could look to when she doubted herself at Wichita State. She also took advantage of the opportunities offered through the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to successfully complete her master’s degree.

Nov. 18, 2019 -- From Interim President Andy Tompkins: I wanted you to know about the potential for an exciting expansion of our partnership with NetApp. We’ve been talking for several months with NetApp’s leadership about the possibility of having their employees and facilities relocate to Innovation Campus, to work even more closely with WSU students, faculty and other researchers.

Nov. 14, 2019 -- Junior business management major Maribel Sanchez is taking full advantage of the opportunities provided by Wichita State. She is a first-generation student, Gore Scholar, studied abroad in the Netherlands this past summer and was invited to speak at a national conference.

Nov. 11, 2019 -- Richard Martin was only 18 years old when he was drafted into the Army Air Corps. Now he’s 94 years old and the last living member of his squadron. On Wednesday, Nov. 6, the students of WSU 102 “Innovations of WWII” met him in the Ablah Library C-Space.

Nov. 5, 2019 – The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic at Wichita State is hosting the first Pediatric Feeding group to help picky eaters and problem feeders.

Nov. 1, 2019 -- Verdict: Wichita’s charming original espresso café is conveniently close to campus but far enough away to be fresh, and sports some quality drinks at reasonable prices.

Oct. 28, 2019 - Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with business students on Friday to talk about leadership, integrity and service. He also met with Wichita State's men's basketball team at Charles Koch Arena.

Oct. 18, 2019 - Achita Muthitacharoen, professor of management information systems, recently won the 2019 Faculty Risk Taker award for her willingness to try new, innovative ideas. She holds a competition in her dynamic programming course that allows students to experience a real-world assignment.

Oct. 14, 2019 - River Vista Boathouse is one-year-old and Wichita State rowing is enjoying benefits of its new home with current students and recruits.

Sept. 27, 2019 -- The annual ceremony of remembrance for those who died in the 1970 Wichita State University plane crash will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at WSU’s Memorial '70, located near the 18th Street and Hillside entrance to the university.

Sept. 20, 2019 -- The Wichita State University Library Special Collection and University Archives has received a large gift of scientific documents and artifacts from accomplished meteorologist Mike Smith.

Sept. 10, 2019 -- Shocker Nation is full of amazing people. One of those people is WSU Police Officer Efrain Rueda, who has received a University Police ribbon for two outstanding actions.

Sept 4, 2019 - Sarah Coffman graduated from Wichita State in 2010 with an Integrated Marketing Communications degree. After college, she had every intention to work for an ad agency. But life took her on a different journey.

Aug. 29, 2019 -- Aliyah Funschelle is a junior studying sport management at Wichita State University. She is the campus representative for the American Athletic Conference and provides stories about WSU student-athletes to the network.
