May 4, 2020 -- A new research partnership between Wichita State University’s (WSU) National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) and the U.S. Air Force will create a virtual B-1 Bomber that could help the Air Force predict the future of its supersonic bombers.
May 1, 2020 — Andrew Stockmann, a Wichita State University senior in sport management, started an internship with the Omaha Storm Chasers on March 9. Three days later, the Storm Chasers announced that their season would be suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In many ways, that changed the focus of Andrew’s internship.

April 23, 2020 -- Dr. A. Lynn Matthews studied how authenticity in small businesses and frontline sales staff can affect consumers' perception and purchase intentions.
April 23, 2020 - Wichita State student teachers are jumping in to help with lesson plans during the pandemic. A group of 13 students contribute to an open document with lesson plans, videos and slide shows designed for remote learning.
April 16, 2020 -- Many Wichita State University freshmen enter college with undecided majors. WSU offers programs that expose students to different fields of work so they will be informed when deciding on their major. One of these programs is the Summer Research Institute.
April 10, 2020 -- The U.S. Department of Education released its official allocations yesterday (Thursday, April 9) for the newly passed Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). Wichita State University will receive nearly $8.8 million. Half of the funds – nearly $4.4 million – will be allocated as emergency financial aid grants to students.
April 1, 2020 -- In March, five WSU students traveled to Topeka to present their research and creative activity posters inside the Capitol building for the annual Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol.

March 25, 2020 -- Up until recently, COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) may have been a relatively new phenomena to the general public, but Wichita State University medical chemist Bill Groutas, two virologists from Kansas State University, and a physician/virologist from the University of Iowa have been working on a cure for coronaviruses for more than three years.
March 22, 2020 -- Wichita State University President Jay Golden has put out a request to any WSU employee or department to donate any personal protective equipment to frontline health care providers.
