Dec. 4, 2019 --  Master of Innovation Design students Kristyn Smith and Max Hinman designed MEBO with students in mind. The app lets students know of events and activities happening around campus. MEBO helps students stay aware of all the resources college has to offer. 

Dec. 4, 2019 -- Natalie Dutton, a senior sport management student and member of the Shocker bowling team, got the chance of a lifetime this summer as an intern with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dec. 2, 2019 -- I went across Wichita State asking students the same question: "What makes a great Shocker?" This video is a short compilation of their heartfelt responses.

Nov. 25, 2019 -- The business interns at Airbus’ Innovation Campus office feel right at home in their work and understand the importance Airbus places on everything they do. They hail from diverse backgrounds and depend on each other to develop and sustain Airbus’ work.

Nov. 18, 2019 -- From Interim President Andy Tompkins: I wanted you to know about the potential for an exciting expansion of our partnership with NetApp. We’ve been talking for several months with NetApp’s leadership about the possibility of having their employees and facilities relocate to Innovation Campus, to work even more closely with WSU students, faculty and other researchers.

Nov. 18, 2019 - Shocker Share a Meal is a texting service that alerts current WSU students via notification when there is leftover, free food available on campus. The service began in August of 2019 and helps reduce food waste and insecurity on campus.

Nov. 4, 2019 -- Austin Clift prepared himself as much as possible to teach high school journalism, but nothing could ready him for his first day teaching solo at Wichita East High School. As a part of his preparation, he shadowed his predecessor through Wichita State’s Transition to Teaching program.

Nov. 4, 2019 - Eric Harrison is a jack of all trades and has many talents. After dabbling in construction work, being a mason and making stained glass artwork, he realized he was missing an education. For Eric, coming back to school at the age of 66 is the best thing he has done. Currently, he is getting his degree in philosophy and minors in English and psychology. 

Nov. 1, 2019 -- Verdict: Wichita’s charming original espresso café is conveniently close to campus but far enough away to be fresh, and sports some quality drinks at reasonable prices.

Nov. 1, 2019 - President-elect Jay Golden’s introduction speech indicates he learned much about Wichita State’s history and its mission. He spoke of reducing cost for students, of applied learning, the importance of the humanities and critical thinking and ties with business.

Oct. 30, 2019 -- The Wichita State Police Department has always focused on making WSU a safe, inviting place. And Police Chief Rodney Clark, who joined the WSU team in July 2018, has implemented several new initiatives in his first year to improve on the department’s mission.

Oct. 29, 2019 - It’s the living room of the engineering building in the Partnership 2 building on the Innovation Campus: GEEKS, a full-service tutoring lab for engineering students. The facility is a free resource that yields a significant amount of success for engineering students.

Oct. 23, 2019 -- The American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) recently presented Wichita State’s Susan Norton with the 2019 AAACE Presidential Award for Exceptional and Innovative Leadership in Adult Continuing Education, an award given to someone who demonstrates exceptional and innovative leadership in the field of adult continuing education.

Oct. 18, 2019 - Four Wichita State students are studying variable stars. One of their earliest tasks was to choose a variable star, from hundreds of possibilities, to study. The students follow the process that a scientist follows in constructing, analyzing, interpreting, writing and publishing their work. The project is designed to give the students “an experience of the essence of the scientific endeavor while contributing to the actual scientific literature.”

Oct. 14, 2019 - River Vista Boathouse is one-year-old and Wichita State rowing is enjoying benefits of its new home with current students and recruits.
