April 16, 2019 -- Ryan Kendall, a senior from Pelham, Alabama, is a computer science major who took the long route to Wichita State’s Selected Team. He didn’t make the team as a freshman and spent the past two seasons on the Developmental Team. Wichita State coach Gordon Vadakin estimates around 10 percent of the bowlers who don’t make the team in their early years continue to try out for a spot on the Selected Team.
April 17, 2019 -- Khyati Mahavadia, from Ahmedabad, India, moved to Dallas in 2015. She considered a university in Texas before deciding Wichita State’s reputation and the applied learning opportunities connected with Wichita’s industry offered her the best position.

March 22, 2019 -- Chase Rawlings, a local 3rd grader, was born without a fully developed left hand. A team at WSU led by senior engineering major Chelsea Sewell created a 3D-printed robotic hand for Chase.
March 19, 2019 -- Registration is now open for Wichita State’s “Design, Build, Code” engineering summer camps. This year, the College of Engineering is hosting 21 camps, a record number, with new offerings for younger children and new camps that allow campers to design, build and code their own inventions, drones, robots and mini-computers.
