The annual ceremony of remembrance for those who died in the 1970 Wichita State University plane crash will be held at 9 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, Oct. 2) at Wichita State University's Memorial '70, located near the 18th Street and Hillside entrance to the university.
The ceremony will honor the 31 WSU football players, administrators and supporters who died in the crash in the Rocky Mountains.
The university entrance at 18th and Hillside will be blocked from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Ceremony attendees will have access to the entrance near Koch Arena or at 17th and Fairmount near the Ulrich Museum. Parking will be available in the lot immediately north of Memorial '70.
A wreath will be placed at the base of Memorial '70, and there will be a time of remembrance to acknowledge the changes that the plane crash made in the lives of the victims, their families, their friends and the university.

French Department invites you to theatrical event
The French Department at Wichita State invites you to come and enjoy a theatrical adaptation of Antoine de St Exupéry's novel "Terre des hommes" ("Wind, Sand and Stars" is the English title). La Compagnie Caravague (Paris) will present the adaptation at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, in the CAC Theater. Admission is free.
From the author of "The Little Prince" comes the story of his life as an aviator. It's an homage to life, friendship, heroism and camaraderie and addresses why the author feels that life is worth the effort.
The author of “Le Petit Prince” reminds us that hope is always opportune. In this work, two men in a biplane converse as they look out over the clouds. Seen from the sky, beyond walls between peoples and cultures, signals approach.
The event is made possible by the WSU Foundation, in cooperation with Modern & Classical Languages & Literatures. For more information, contact Wilson Baldridge at 978-6645.
