Transition to Teaching Program Application

To determine if you are eligible for the WSU Transition to Teaching Program we require a completed application, copies of all official transcripts from all institutions from which you have earned college credit, and a current resume.The application form must be completed and signed (digitally) in its entirety.

Steps to Apply

  1. Email Dr. Jim Granada, T2T Director at T2T.info@wichita.edu with the following information:
    1. Degrees you have earned and majors.
    2. What middle or high school subject area you are interested in teaching.
    3. Where in Kansas you hope to teach.
  2. Attend a Transition to Teaching information session offered twice a month at WSU (currently via Zoom).
  3. Submit application, resume and official transcripts (after attending an information session). 

    Official transcripts should be sent electronically by each college/university to sherri.holle@wichita.edu.

  4. Once the application file is complete a transcript analysis will completed and eligibility determined.
  5. If eligible for the program, the following two steps will complete the application process (currently online via Zoom):
    1. Interview with the Transition to Teaching Director.
    2. Pre-program advising appointment.

Application Deadline

A new program cohort starts each June. Applicants are encouraged to apply early. No applicants will be considered for the current cohort after May 1.
