August 2017 - Present - TAP Success Coach / Adjunct Instructor

Wichita State University

  • Contributed to the growth of the TAP program from an initial class of approximately 50 students to the current enrollment of 564 students
  • Mentored 37 TAP students as a coach in the program with 19 successful graduates to date
  • Guide mentees through the lesson planning process and provide feedback on plans and lesson execution based on classroom teaching samples
  • Lead instructor for Internship III (CI 607); developed instructional content on formative and summative assessment methods ensuring strong student understanding through relatable and applicable coursework
  • Manage a small team of success coaches; hosting monthly meetings, facilitating bi-directional communication between the program leaders and coaches, and establishing best practices
  • Developed coaching quick reference guide to help organize student expectations and deadlines that was later adopted by coaches throughout the program
