Industry Advisory Board

The Industry Advisory Board (IAB) for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering serves as the advisory body and provides advice, feedback, and support to the department’s mission. The board provides assistance with ABET accreditation, curriculum enhancement, K-12 outreach, recruitment and retention, research and investment of resources. Board members are from the electrical and computer engineering industry and include both alumni and individuals who have vested interest in the success of the Electrical and Computer Engineering programs at Wichita State University. The ECE IAB has four working groups. 

• Working Group on Strategic Guidance & Planning: This working group will provide advice and recommendation on policies and departmental strategic goals that would impact, student experince, industry expectations and research.
  • Members: Dr, Abu Asaduzamman, Dr. Al Tamimi, Ben McDavitt, Dan Biby and  Mckinley Bahr
• Working Group on Workforce and Curriculum: This working group will assess the skills that industry needs and students are lacking and recommend curriculum changes. 
  • Members: Erik Seligman, Nicholus Cox, Nathan Welk, Dr. John Watkins, Dr. Arun Manoharan, Dr. Kyoungnae Lee and Manira Rani
