Kiora Joseph

Kiora Joseph is a senior undergraduate student at Wichita State University, pursuing a major in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. Her current academic focus is on aerodynamics, specifically hypersonic aerodynamics. She aims to pursue a Ph.D. and contribute to improving hypersonic turbulence models. Currently, she is engaged in research focusing on the application of laser beams for flight control during hypersonic emergency situations. Beyond academics, Kiora is a member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), where she collaborates with peers to promote diversity and inclusion in STEM fields. In her free time, she finds solace in the outdoors, enjoys crocheting and embraces every opportunity to explore new destinations through travel.
