Current Research

Our current research is:

  • Large Eddy Simulation (LES) of supersonic flow over expansion compression corner: In this project, the LES of supersonic flow over expansion compression corner will be performed at different expansion-compression angles.  The results will be compared with experimental data.  The main purpose of this work is to examine the accuracy of the new recycling-rescaling method (Ht&p) in the prediction of surface pressure and pressure profiles at different locations at high supersonic speeds.

Previous Research

Our previous research topics are:

  • Large Eddy Simulation of hypersonic flow over cold wall flat plate
  • Prediction of aerothermodynamic loading of Edney III type shock-shock interaction over a hemisphere at hypersonic speeds
  • Prediction of aerothermodynamic loading of shock wave laminar boundary layer interaction over hollow cylinder flare and double cone at hypersonic flows
  • Energy discharge for drag reduction
  • Energy discharge for flight control
