Academic Advisors for Engineering and Computing Students

First-Year Students

First-year students are advised by the OneStop Student Services First-Year Advising team. For students beginning in the Summer or Fall semesters that RSVP before August 1st, no academic advising appointment will be required to enroll in classes.

To enroll in classes at WSU, for all new students who come to WSU straight from high school, the first step is to RSVP for Orientation and complete the Enrollment Questionnaire. Once you have completed your Enrollment Questionnaire, your First-Year Advisor will create a class schedule for you to review.

Students who will begin at WSU in the Fall Semester and RSVP after August 1st or are beginning in the Spring Semester, please complete the RSVP for Orientation and then call the First Year Advising office in OneStop Student Services to schedule an advising appointment with a First-Year Advisor to select your class schedule.

Continuing, Transfer, and Adult Learners

Continuing students, new Transfer students, and Adult Learners are advised through their major's department. See below for your Academic Advisor's contact information under your department's name.

Advising is required for most undergraduate students in the College of Engineering before being permitted to register for the next term. Each department's advising process is slightly different, so be sure to reference the advising process links below for details about with whom and when you are required to complete advising.

You can also request to meet with your academic and faculty advisors outside of required advising whenever you are in need of academic support or guidance!
