field of History written by college and university students between August 2014 and January 2016.

The $125 awards are offered for the best papers in one graduate and two undergraduate categories.
A $50 travel stipend to attend and present at the annual meeting will be provided to the winning
presenters. The meeting registration fee will also be waived for winning presenters. In addition, the
graduate winner will receive a one year’s subscription to Kansas History: A Journal of the Central
Plains. Papers should not exceed 30 double-spaced pages, and should be roughly 7000 to 9000

graduate paper and one undergraduate paper.

Category II

This award will be given to one undergraduate paper.

The committee reserves the right not to make an award in any category if no worthy paper is
