MPA Students: Students who earn a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree are equipped to make significant contributions in management and policy within public and nonprofit organizations, as well as in civic leadership roles. Those specializing in the program's public finance and budgeting concentration prepare for careers as budget analysts, policy economists, tax managers, and budget examiners.
“The Hugo Wall School has one of the most engaged alumni groups of any public administration program in the country, and our former students remain a vital part of who we are and how we engage the publics we serve. Our specialized focus in local government management and public budgeting and finance represents the Hugo Wall difference,” Dr. Newbold says.
The Hugo Wall School curriculum highlights the value of real-world experience and community involvement, demonstrating how these components provide students with a strong foundation for successful careers after graduation.
“Our students engage in real-world experiences throughout their MPA education, preparing them for important leadership responsibilities in public and nonprofit sector governance,” says Dr. David Guo, Regents Distinguished Professor of Public Finance.
