Water & Waste Disposal Loan & Grant Program

The Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant program helps very small, financially distressed rural communities extend and improve water and waste treatment facilities that serve local households and businesses.

Watershed and Flood Prevention Operations Program

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) provides technical and financial assistance to help Federal, State and Local governments, and their political subdivisions, work together to protect watersheds and prevent flooding.

A Watershed Improvement District is a special taxing district, governed by an appointed board of trustees, that implements projects that protect the watershed and prevent flood damage.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provides funding through Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grants to help reduce or eliminate risk of repetitive flood damage to buildings and other structures insured under the National Flood Insurance Program.
