Italian is a Romance language and an official language in Italy, Switzerland, Vatican City, Slovenia and San Marino. It is also the language closest to Latin.
The Italian language appears in numerous works of music, arts, design, architecture and food in the human history. Students planning on a career in these related fields can benefit significantly with the knowledge of Italian.
Starting with the lower level Italian courses at Wichita State University, students will build their language knowledge from the ground up, strengthening their skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
