Dr. Sterrett reviews book on Frederic Bartlett, who coined the term "Schema" in psychology

Dr. Sterrett reviewed a new book on an early twentieth-century researcher in psychology who studied the use of schema in memory and cognition, The Constructive Mind: Bartlett's Psychology in Reproduction.

Dr. Susan Sterret's new essay, "Mach on Analogy in Science", is now available in Interpreting Mach: Critical Essays.

Wichita State's James Schwartz recently contributed to a post on the philosophy blog Daily Nous on the philosophy of space exploration and also co-authored an article for The Space Review.

Applications now open for Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich's Summer School on Mathematical Philosophy for Female Students

From the program website: "The summer school is open to women with a keen interest in mathematical philosophy. Applicants should be students of philosophy (or philosophically minded logicians or scientists) at an advanced undergraduate level, in a master program, or at an early PhD level."

Dr. Sterrett's new article, "The Genius of the 'Original Imitation Game' Test", appears in the new issue of the journal Minds and Machines and is free-to-read online.

The Undergraduate Student Research and Creative Activity Grants Program is accepting applications for grants of up to $1,000 for WSU undergraduate students pursing research or creative projects.

Dr. Bondy's book, Epistemic Rationality and Epistemic Normativity, now available in paperback

Patrick Bondy's book was originally released as a hardcover in 2017 at Routledge.

Zohreh Dalirian has been admitted to the Doctoral program in Education at Southeastern University (2021).

LCDR Joseph M. Hatfield returned to his roots in the WSU Philosophy department to give talks on the philosophical significance and implications of the blockchain technology used in cryptocurrencies for Internet 3.0, and a philosophical analysis of state intelligence in democratic and authoritarian systems (2021).

Lucy Petroucheva is a civic engagement manager at the Kansas Leadership Center (2021).

Courtney Minor is now enrolled in the PhD program in Philosophy at UCLA with 7 years of funding. She's studying Philosophy of Law, Ethics, Political Philosophy, and Logic (2021).

Daniel Saunders finished his masters at York University and is now getting his PhD in Philosophy at the University of British Columbia. He's studying Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Social Science and Philosophy of Medicine (2020).

Tyler Hiebert is finishing his dissertation for a PhD in Communications at the Annenberg School of Communications, USC (2020).

Curt Gridley and Tracy Hoover founded Groover Labs, a creative concept to market maker space in Wichita's Old Town Opportunity Zone (2019).

Analyzing and summarizing complicated legal documents, including contracts, and suggesting alterations to those documents

Anticipating and mitigating potential legal problems within the law firm or for a client — and developing strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce potential areas of risk
