Inside the Program

Internship opens student's eyes to career possibilities

Riley Webb, a sophomore majoring in entrepreneurship and marketing, recently worked at real estate auction firm McCurdy Auction as an apprentice. While enhancing his passion for marketing, Webb received experience in photography, design, public relations and copywriting.

Webb attributes this experience to opening his eyes to a possible future in a career he wouldn’t have otherwise considered.

“This apprenticeship has made me take real estate into higher consideration for a future choice,” he said. “I would not have gained the experience of learning about real estate auctions anywhere else in Wichita.”

Curriculum

Wichita State offers a broad array of real estate courses covering nearly everything related to real estate. Whether you intend to be a real estate professional, or simply want to understand how real estate impacts your life and business, we've got the courses you'll need to prepare you for what lies ahead.

Careers

Contrary to what many people first think, real estate encompasses far more  than simply the residential brokers that help you buy and sell your home. In fact, the term refers to a much broader industry, including developers, financial analysts, corporate real estate officers, property managers, appraisers and more.
