Pau, France
Pau, France is located in southern France, 1 hour from the France-Spain border. It’s situated on the coast, where surfing and beach resorts are plentiful, but also 1 hour away from the Pyrenees mountains and its ski resorts. Sports are a popular part of the Pau culture including many high-level sports clubs (Élan Béarnais, Section Paloise rugby), high quality facilities (climbing walls, whitewater pool, Olympic swimming pool) and many sporting events throughout the year (tour de France, Automobile Grand Prix, an International Three-day Event, the Kayak World Cup, the Basque Pelota World Cup). In addition to sports, you can learn about the French culture at the 3 national museums, visit the theatre, or take a quick trip to Spain to learn about the Spanish and Basque Country culture. Also within a short distance is the beautiful French wine countryside. The population of Pau is around 75,000 making it a nice and relaxing city to live in and return to on the weekends when traveling around Europe or France.
Overview
éklore-ed School of Management is a private business school with approximately 1,500 students located in Pau, France. The University is situated on the campus of the University of Pau, which is a public university with nearly 19,000 students. The campus is a 10 minute walk from Pau town center and offers a quiet, friendly, and safe environment for studying and meeting new people. Exchange students have the option of taking French Language courses (only at Beginner level) during the semester in combination with business courses taught in English. Students interested in this program should have a good GPA in their business classes and be ready to take upper-division business classes. Most classes offered in Pau will be International Business related courses in areas such as marketing, entrepreneurship, management and finance. Students must pay for at least 12 U.S. credit hours at WSU, regardless of the number of courses they choose to take while on the exchange.
éklore-ed also hosts a WSU Faculty-led summer program, Global Entrepreneurship Experience, that is coordinated by the WSU Barton School of Business and éklore-ed School of Management.
