Student teaching opportunity for students who are at least sophomore level in College of Applied Studies pursuing a teaching degree!

  • When: End of May to June 2025 (exact dates TBD)
  • Where: Asunción, Paraguay
  • Accommodations: Host families
  • Program details:  Students will be placed in a private school in Paraguay for the student teaching experience.  No Spanish language is required as the schools generally have bilingual programs so the teaching experience is for classes taught in English.  Although, if students are fluent in Spanish, then they can have the option to be placed in classes where the language of instruction is Spanish.  The dates for the program are very flexible depending on the student and usually will be for 3 or 4 weeks in length during the months of May and June.  Students can also have the option to choose their preferred city for the teaching experience with locations in Asunción, Encarnación and Ciudad del Este.

Cost:

  • Program Fee: $600
    (fee includes orientation, accommodations, most meals & placement at private school in Paraguay for student teaching experience)
  • Other expenses: Airfare (approx. $1,700), personal expenses/some meals (approx. $300)
