Zach Gearhart
Chief of Staff
Zach Gearhart joined Wichita State University in 2014 as the Assistant Director of Government Relations and was promoted to Director of Government Relations in 2017, and promoted to Chief of Staff in 2021. The position gives him responsibility to develop and administer government relations strategies for the University in consultation with University executives. His responsibilities include tracking legislation and policy issues at the federal, state, and local levels that impact the University's governance and finaces as well as working with departments to facilitate and coordinate appearances by government officials on campus. Mr. Gearhart graduated with a bachelor's in political science in 2011 and received a master's degree in public administration in 2013 from Wichita State University.
