Real-world experience
One of the many advantages of a Wichita State education is the ability to get hands-on work experience while still going to school. CHP students have access to clinical affiliation sites in 45 out of 50 states.
Thanks to Wichita State's location in the center of Kansas' health care hub, our students have more opportunities to make connections, build a resume, land their dream job and work beside some of the best professionals in their field through clinical rotations, internships and community outreach. The College of Health Professions is serious about community outreach. As a CHP student, you'll gain experience providing vital services to underserved populations. Wichita State features three patient-serving clinics and conducts outreach activities like health fairs and screenings year-round.
Professional success
With an ever-increasing need for qualified health professionals, our graduates are a hot commodity for clinics, hospitals, laboratories, nursing homes and schools throughout the state. They enjoy some of the highest job placement rates in Kansas — and often have job offers before they even finish their degrees.
