In addition to hitting the highest total enrollment in Wichita State's 128-year history, we also hit a four-year high in transfer student enrollment - an incredible milestone for Kansas' top transfer destination 12 years running. Wichita State has tremendous gratitude to our transfer student population and is thankful for their dedication and look forward to the wonderful impact they will have on our campus community.

Transfer Highlights

• Shocker Game Day has been a success over the past two years, and we are excited to continue this event for our prospective transfer students. Wichita State University is proud to provide an inside look at what it’s like to be a Shocker through a welcome presentation, student panel, and a campus tour! At the end of the visit, transfers can also attend a basketball game at Koch Arena for FREE. 
• For incoming transfers, the Transfer Merit Scholarship is renewable up to $6,000. We also have other scholarship opportunities available through ScholarshipUniverse and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Roll.
• We are proud to welcome five Shocker Transfer Guides this school year! Transfer Guides are current transfer students help with community college group visits, student panels and support our ambassador programs. They also receive a $500 scholarship each semester.
• Our wonderful online portal, the Transfer Gateway, has been a helpful took for students to estimate the number of credit hours that transfer to WSU in their desired degree program.
• Transfer students enrolled at a Kansas community college have the chance to get a head start and plan their future with the help of Dual Advising. Through this program, students can chat with a Dual Advisor and get all the information to make the transfer process as smooth as possible.

• For six years running, Wichita State University has been listed on the Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll.
• We welcomed nearly 130 new students from local universities this fall semester.
• With the rise in transfer students from two-year colleges such as Butler, Hutchinson, Cowley, Johnson County, Pratt, and WSU Tech, it's no wonder Wichita State University has become the No. 1 Transfer Destination in Kansas the last 12 years!
