Every semester a new application will be distributed to new/returning students to apply for the next semester. Updated transcripts will be requested from your high school or homeschool, and your accounts will remain active at both WSU and WSU Tech.
Yes, the cost of books is not included in the tuition costs. Each course has specific textbook requirements, and you will need to purchase the textbook to participate in the course.
Shocker Academy students will be able to access tutoring services at both WSU and WSU Tech. Visit our resources page for more information.
Shocker Academy are dual enrollment courses. These courses are taught by WSU and WSU Tech faculty and are counted by the student’s high school towards high school graduation requirements. To ensure that we are in keeping with high school graduation requirements Shocker Academy does not allow for test-in options. Students will need to have completed the basic requirements in high school before becoming a Shocker Academy student (e.g. completed two years of high school algebra before entering college algebra).
