Wichita State’s rise in the ranks of the nation’s top engineering and aerospace research universities wouldn’t be possible if not for the efforts of departments such as the College of Engineering, Firepoint Innovations Center and National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR). The College of Engineering is among the highest-rated engineering graduate school programs in the country; while NIAR and FirePoint are conducting transformative research for industry and military organizations – with the help of nearly 500 student employees.
