Current Student Team

Originally from Hillsboro Kansas,  Austin is majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Wichita State. He joined the Gateway to IP program at the beginning of summer 2022 to further his interests in inventions, innovations, and Shark Tank! So far, he’s enjoyed the process of helping various creations become patented and is looking forward to continuing to grow and develop his professional skills in this area of expertise!

Ashley is a senior in the Biomedical Engineering program. She joined the Gateway to IP program February 16^th, 2022 after meeting Rob during his guest lecture in one of her Biomedical Engineering Classes. Ashley realized that out of the engineering specific experience she had, one of the biggest gaps in her knowledge was regarding intellectual property. "My desire to learn more about IP led me to this position, and it has been very rewarding thus far."

Zane is a third year Aerospace Engineering student with minors in Math and Philosophy. In addition to being a Tech Transfer analyst since May 2022, Zane also works as a Resident Assistant in the department of Housing and Residence Life. Since joining the Tech Transfer team in May of 2022, he has gained innumerous skills in regards to the patent process.
