Ebony is a current junior at Wichita State University and has made the Dean’s Honor Roll every semester. She is a member of the Honors College, Barton International Group, Community Service Board, Phenomenal Woman, and Christian Challenge. She is a recipient of the Rudd Foundation Scholarship, a full-ride scholarship covering all expenses during her time at WSU. Currently, she is a Human Resources intern at Schwan’s Company where she has organized and planned Retention events for nearly 1,000 employees. She also works at the Deloitte Smart Factory as an Activations intern. Inspired by the opportunity of learning and experiencing a different culture, during Winter 2023, Ebony will study abroad in Europe learning more about European Arts & Culture. Ebony is passionate about giving back to her community and has previously volunteered at the Greater Salina Community Foundation, a local non-profit organization, she has coordinated blood drives with American Red Cross and has tutored middle school students with the Xcel After School Program. Ebony strives to always have meaningful conversations and loves learning about people's diverse stories. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, yoga, and spending time with her family.
What drove Ebony’s interest in the Widener Global Leaders Program was the diversification of the program. The program is unique as it unites business, liberal arts, and fine arts students together correlating a diverse group of leaders – helping them grow professionally and personally. She believes that this group will help her become more well-rounded and is excited to learn from the other strong women in the group.
After completing her Bachelor's degree, Ebony plans on continuing her studies to obtain her Master's of Business Administration in Business Data Management. With her loving communication and analytics, she hopes to become a management consultant at a Big Four company. Looking long term, Ebony hopes to become a Senior Manager or Partner in a consulting firm.
