Overview

James started at the Barton School of Business in October 2021 as a marketing and communications specialist for the Institute for the Study of Economic Growth and the Barton School of Business. In 2024, he transitioned to the Dean's Office of the Barton School as the Brand Experience and Digital Media Manager.

In his current role, James is responsible for overseeing daily operations, including designing and implementing communication content and marketing materials for the Barton School of Business. He collaborates with others to maintain brand standards and establish best practices for communication with external stakeholders. Additionally, James provides direction to University staff and related departments in developing and implementing communication content, marketing campaigns, and events that engage and enhance the customer experience.

His duties also involve developing metrics to assess the success of communications and marketing campaigns, contributing to the formulation of long-range goals and strategies, and leading and developing branding, communications messaging, and marketing design materials across various mediums such as print, audio, and online publications. James ensures compliance with visual standards and alignment of messaging with goals and objectives.

James brings a diverse background to his role, including experience in customer service, design, video production, programming, writing, research, public relations, marketing, and strategy.
