Overview

Sina Rahiminejad will assume the role of Assistant Professor at Wichita State University in August 2023. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Professor at Lewis University in Chicago.

He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Calgary and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Sharif University of Technology. He also has an undergraduate background in Mech Eng.

Dr. Sina has been teaching since 2018; with a wide teaching experience and mentoring students at both undergraduate and graduate levels. 

Dr. Sina Rahimi conducts empirical and analytical research in Tax and Financial accounting. His current research interests include the following information content in the Book Tax Differences, Earnings quality, earnings persistence, DEA models, and the determinants of tax avoidance.

Sina has received several academic research awards and scholarships in Accounting and Finance, including the Janet Marion Award, the CPA Tax Award, and the prestigious Bertram Scholarship award from the Canadian Foundation for Governance Research.
