Overview
As director of GoCreate, a Koch Collaborative, at Wichita State University, Ty Masterson leads strategy, operations, and community engagement for the region’s premier makerspace.
Masterson brings deep experience in organizational leadership, program management, and community outreach, with a diverse professional career as a realtor, developer, contractor, and small business owner. A long‑time advocate for hands‑on innovation and workforce development, he is committed to expanding opportunities for makers, entrepreneurs, and innovators across the region. Under his leadership, GoCreate has expanded its educational offerings, strengthened corporate and community collaborations, and supported hundreds of inventors and startups through access to state‑of‑the‑art equipment and expert mentorship.
In addition to his role at GoCreate, he serves as President of the Kansas Senate.
