Overview

Captain Serini B. Bloesser was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. She enlisted in the Kansas Army National Guard in 2006 and later enrolled in the state Officer Candidate School (OCS). After completing the OCS training, she graduated and commissioned as a military police officer for the Kansas Army National Guard. Captain Bloesser most recently served as the Company Commander for the 35th Military Police Company. 

Previously, she served as a Platoon Leader for the 35th Military Police Company and after a few years was assigned as the company Executive Officer. In 2019, she was assigned as an instructor at the Officer Candidate School and in 2020 became the senior instructor for the Kansas OCS program. She served as an instructor for two years before being reassigned to the 35th Military Police Company, as the Company Commander.

Captain Bloesser is also the Army Company Grade Officer representative for the National Guard Association of Kansas and has served in that role since May of 2022. She has also served as a victim advocate for the Kansas Army National Guard Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program since 2018. 

Captain Bloesser has a Bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University in Psychology with an emphasis in pre-med. She is also a graduate student in the Wichita State University Barton School of Business with a focus in Human Resource Management. She is a graduate of the Army Captain’s Career Course in logistics, basic officer leader’s course, sexual harassment and assault response program victim advocate course, Equal Opportunity Advisor Course, Common Faculty Developer’s Course and the battalion career counselor course. 

Captain Bloesser is married and has two young children. Her hobbies include spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, sports and home renovation projects.
