Overview
Dr. Jamarco Clark became vice president for Student Affairs on July 1, 2026. He plans to work collaboratively across campus to strengthen Student Affairs as a strategic partner in fostering a supportive, engaging environment where all students can reach their full potential.
Clark previously served as vice chancellor for Student Affairs at the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS). He is an active scholar and graduate faculty member, teaching in online doctoral and master’s programs in higher education leadership. His research and publications focus on workplace wellbeing, trauma‑informed supervision and the experiences of student affairs professionals.
Clark is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and has been appointed by governors in Illinois and Iowa to statewide service commissions. He is currently serving on the SERVE Illinois Commission and previously on Volunteer Iowa, where he contributed to advancing civic engagement and volunteerism initiatives.
Clark holds an Ed.D. from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, a master’s degree in Strategic Leadership from Mount Mercy University in Nebraska, and a bachelor’s degree in Educational Foundations from Iowa Wesleyan University.
