Onboarding Instructions
Wichita State University (WSU) has moved to a secure electronic online process called Onboard. With Onboard, you will complete most of your necessary new employee documents online using any internet-connected device; such as a desktop, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Human Resources (HR) is available for assistance and has computers accessible for public use Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
To complete the employment process, HR needs to collect additional information from you before your first day of work.
Please complete all the online assigned tasks by the due date or within 2 days of your automated Onboard email. |
Automated emails are sent from the Onboard system telling you when there are tasks for you to review and complete.

When to go to Human Resources
When all of your documents have been reviewed, you will get an automated Onboard email because you have a new task telling you to go to HR. Log in to Onboard again. There will be a new task (ACTION REQUIRED: Employee Visit Human Resources) asking you to go to HR to finalize your new hire paperwork. The task will outline what you need to bring with you to Human Resources, directions to our office and the days and hours we are open. There are 4 steps to the task. Please read them carefully.
Please do not visit Human Resources to finalize your new hire paperwork until you receive your new task from Onboard,
ACTION REQUIRED: Employee Visit Human Resources
The best times to visit HR are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. can be busy and might entail a wait. Human Resources is closed for all state of Kansas observed holidays.
