Hybrid with Blended Delivery and Online Testing (Hybrid Option 2)
This option moves a course closer to a typical "flipped" model as it offers a blend of online and in-person content delivery and it offers online testing. This model allows instructors to capitalize on in-person contact and offer more social interaction, demonstrations, and time for student questions. This model would be a good choice for:
- Courses that are typically offered to first-year students
- Courses that require coming to the university for some but not all content delivery
- Capstone courses where graduating seniors gain a huge benefit from in-person contact
The in-person components of a course using this choice would still need to be modified to meet the in-person course requirements for safety. These could include:
- Content delivery may need to be modularized
- In-person content delivery may need to be less frequent than with typical traditional classroom instruction (TCI) delivery
- In-person content delivery may need to be set up on a rotating basis to ensure social distancing requirements
All courses with in-person content delivery will also need to follow these guidelines:
- Social distancing requirements must be followed at all times
- Instructors and students must wear face coverings during class, including during lecture
