Meet Ultra
Wichita State is transitioning from one Blackboard learning management system to another during 2021 and 2022. By December, 2022, all classes at Wichita State will be in Ultra. But what is "Ultra"?
Ultra is actually two things: a navigation system and a course interface. All classes are in the Ultra navigation system as of May 29, 2021. Ultra navigation allows all students to do things like change their profile, easily set notifications, and take advantage of the Activity Stream.
The course interface is different. At this time, and until December, 2022, students will have some courses that are delivered in Blackboard Ultra as well as some courses that are delivered in the classic Blackboard interface (what is often called "old" Blackboard). For classes in the classic Blackboard course delivery, you need to refer to the student training in a different folder. For classes in the Ultra course delivery, you should come here for help and training.
