Hybrid Course Design

A hybrid course is one that has both online/remote delivery and in-person delivery. There are different ways to think about how to use hybrid design to set up your course, and the design decisions are up to the professor of record for the course. Given the possibility that we may be required to transition to remote delivery at some point in the fall 2020 semester, all clases will be listed as either HYB (hybrid) or IIE (fully online) in the course schedule. This set of web pages is designed to help you, the professor, think through what that means for your courses and to provide you the resources necessary to deliver the course in a way that is as close as possible to the way you want it to be delivered.  

IDA has created the technical and pedagogical training you need in order to be successful in building your hybrid course once you choose the right hybrid design for your material. But not all professors will be ready to choose a design immediately. If that is you, please have a look at the following resources, modifed by IDA from the Blendkit materials initially designed by the University of Central Florida and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities with funding from the Next Generation Learning Challenges.
