Brian Austin
Brian AustinI’m Brian Austin, Director for the Office of Applied & Experiential Learning at WSU.  I began my career at WSU in August of 2012, shortly thereafter I transitioned into a role focused on connecting students and employers through Career Development.  Today at WSU, I’m lucky to serve in my current role, leading a passionate and hardworking team.  This motivated group helps students understand and develop the professional skills they need for meaningful careers by connecting them with Applied Learning Experiences via industry partners.  Those partners include non-profits, small business, and larger companies, both local and national.  Throughout my career, I have benefited tremendously from the leadership and support of good supervisors and teammates.  Therefore, every day, I seek to lift others up in the same way.  This includes WSU students, my colleagues, those I supervise and those I report to. It would be an honor to do so serving on the Unclassified Professional Senate.
