Responsibilities include managing and updating the SSS website, preparing monthly and weekly newsletters, keeping track of website database records, etc. Good customer service skills and an ability to work on multiple tasks are essential. Applicant must be a WSU student with a minimum class standing of sophomore, and in good academic standing with a minimum of 3.0 GPA. Students with backgrounds similar to those of project participants are preferred.

Duties:

  1. Ensure website functionality and develop and/or update content
  2. Monitor, assess, and report on website performance
  3. Ensure domain registration and hosting are current
  4. Attend training sessions required by the program
  5. Prepare monthly and weekly newsletters
  6. Prepare SSS office check in statistics
  7. Follow program policies and procedures
  8. Maintain accurate records of time worked in the office
  9. Complete work assigned by program staff members under the direction of the Director
  10. This position will work closely with the Director and the Database Specialist, and will perform duties as assigned by them

Requirments: 

  1. Enrolled as a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student at WSU
  2. Good Academic standing
  3. Have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or better

Preferred Skills:

  1. Ability to manage, alter content on SSS Website
  2. Software Web Management Skills (HTML)
  3. Ability to adapt to the new CMS (Content management system)
  4. Ability to learn quickly
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite and other graphic design software
  6. Good customer service skills
  7. Ability to organize, prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  8. Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
  9. Ability to pay attention to detail
  10. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  11. Ability to keep records and maintain confidentiality
  12. Experience working with students similar to those served by SSS
  13. Good judgment and decision-making skills
  14. Good analytical and problem-solving skills
