TRIO Student Support Services Staff

Hi, I'm Prashanthi Diffenbaugh, Database Specialist and Academic Advisor with TRIO Student Support Services at Wichita State University. I recently completed my Master's in Business Analytics here at WSU, so this role feels like a nice full-circle moment, going from student to staff on the same campus.

Originally from India, I've made Wichita my home, and getting to do this work in the community I actually live in means a lot to me.

Day to day, I keep our program database accurate and compliant with reporting requirements, and I dig into the data to help us understand how the program is doing and where we can improve. I also get to work directly with students on their academic plans and goals, helping them figure out the steps that keep them moving toward graduation. Both sides of the role matter to me, just in different ways.

From what I've seen so far, this team genuinely cares about the students we serve, and I've felt welcomed since day one, it's a great group to be learning alongside.

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and spending time with family and friends, my favourite way to unplug.

I'm glad to be part of this team and looking forward to supporting students through their time at WSU.
