Hello and welcome to TRIO Student Support Services! I’m Karen Wright, Program Director
and we’re excited you are interested in our program. In TRIO Student Support Services,
our goal and commitment, is to provide all student participants with the resources,
tools and support needed through your academic journey. Services such as textbook
and technology rental, open lab to complete homework, free printing services, academic,
career and personal advising, tutoring, mentoring, scholarship opportunities and much
more. One semester at a time. Before you know it, you are preparing to graduate!
My responsibility is to ensure all services are operating seamlessly.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I enjoy singing with a local
ensemble called A.R.I.S.E. I’m active in giving back to the community by serving
on the Board of Directors at the Kansas Food Bank, Newman University Alumni Board,
The Urban League of Kansas and through my sorority of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Incorporated.
