Be Prepared for College
When leaving home for the first time, it is hard to think of everything you might need. Check out our list of easily forgotten items that will make life easier.
Items to bring to college:
- Health insurance card
It’s a good idea to check (before you come) if you have “preferred” providers or facilities in Wichita, as well. Write down the information (address and phone number) and keep with your insurance card. - If you have an HSA payment card, in order for us to accept it, it must have the students name on it.
- Small first aid kit
Thermometer, bandaids, gauze, tape, aspirin and/or ibuprofen, antacids - Cough/throat drops
- Sunscreen
- Hand sanitizer
- Batteries (all kinds)
- Stamps
- Extra cell phone charger
- Extra usb charger/adapter
- Flash light
- Extension cords
- Immunization card
- Drinking glass for room
- Alarm clock
- Carrier for toiletries: soaps/shampoo, toothbrush/paste, razor/shaving cream
- Lamp
- Waste basket
- Laundry, change, soap, something to carry it in
- Scotch tape
- Small tool kit
Screwdriver (flat and phillips), wall hanging strips/tacky putty, level, needle nose pliers, pliers, small hammer, allen wrenches - Scissors
