Weight Loss Journey with GLP-1's

When I started on Ozempic, I had an initial gap in treatment whenever there was a back order and pharmacies couldn't get any of the Ozempic doses. This was 2 years ago when everybody was trying to get on weight loss medications and manufacturers could not keep up with the demand. The amazing thing about these meds were that they diminished the "food talk" in your brain, constantly thinking about food or what to eat. But, I wasn't on Ozempic long, as my side effects of abdominal cramping, nausea, and acid reflux was too much for me. These are all side effects that you could experience on GLP-1 weight loss medication., Some other s are headaches, diarrhea, or constipation (you just never know...), injection site pain and redness, etc. The term "Ozempic Face" became popular and it just means that somebody has lost enough weight that their face looks different than before their weight loss. After some time, due to the difficulty getting Ozempic and my side effects, my doctor started me on Wegovy. Just as expensive and similar active ingredient to Ozempic. But here was the kicker...my state insurance did not cover Wegovy as well, so I took a big hit to my health savings account funds. Remember this is Fall 2023 and all of these weight loss meds are still new. I became discouraged and so sick with Wegovy! What was I to do now...because I had some success and lost 25 pounds in 3.5 months of trying these meds and my appetite was really affected. I no longer stress ate my feelings away and was eating one good meal and a snack per day. But, I felt miserable and a little out of control. And, then I tried Mounjaro, and my life changed.
