TRIO STEM Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program designed to help eligible STEM majors succeed in college and beyond. Our mission is to provide personalized academic, financial, and personal support so students can thrive from their first semester through graduation.

Who we serve

TRIO SSS STEM supports students who are the first in their family to go to college, who qualify based on income, or who have a documented disability, and who are working toward a STEM degree.

Everyone must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be an undergraduate working toward their first bachelor's degree
  • Be pursuing a STEM major (See full list here)

And meet at least one of:

  • First-generation college student
  • Income-eligible
  • Have a documented disability

 

 

 

Our Services

Tutoring

What it is: Free one-on-one and group tutoring in your courses.
What it looks like: Sit down with a tutor who's already taken your class, work through the stuff that's not clicking, on a schedule that works for you.

Academic Support & Coaching

What it is: Regular one-on-one meetings to keep you on track.
What it looks like: Planning your schedule, catching problems before they become bigger ones, talking through what's actually going on when a class or a semester gets hard.

What it is: Support figuring out what's next.
