What is SAC?

The Student Activities Council serves as the official student-led program board for Wichita State University. We plan and coordinate free events for the entire student body. These events range from social, educational, cultural, and high-impact entertainment experiences.

Who can join?

Any currently enrolled, degree-seeking student, with at least a 2.0 GPA may join an SAC Committee. Individuals may join anytime throughout the spring or fall semesters. Learn more

Who can attend your events?

All SAC events are made by and for Wichita State students and many of our evening and weekend events are open to faculty, staff, and the general public. Check event descriptions for additional information and contact us if you have questions.

Are SAC events free?

Most of SAC's events are free to students and financially accessible to their friends and family. There are times where we have to charge for a program due to the scale or financial impact it may have on the organization. Check event descritpions for additional information or contact us if you have questions.

How do you get a position in SAC?

SAC holds selections annually in April and applications become available in March. Each year we recruit a full board and individuals wishing to return must reapply and interview. The organization takes great pride in its leaders and requires applicants to submit a resume, answer select questions, and interview before a selection committee. This is a great experience as a leader and sets you up for success in your career.
